Injection molding and characterization of microtextures on polycarbonate using laser textured inserts

چکیده
The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate the easy manufacturing and quick characterization several microtextured functional surfaces on two transparent thermoplastics general interest for industrial sectors. Microtextured polymeric with special optical, tribological easy-cleaning properties were manufactured via isothermal injection-molding using laser-microtextured steel mold inserts. For that purpose, conventional injection molding chosen amorphous polymers (polycarbonate, PC, polymethyl methacrylate, PMMA) utilizing inserts was carried out, a detailed morphological injected specimens conducted later on. We also report suitable process conditions these design experiment (DOE) techniques. analysis degree replication (DR%) samples shows temperature speed are most relevant parameters obtain successful confirm viability as processing technique in thermoplastics. success procedure further checked by confirmation obtained surface functionalities various standard self-developed methods.
